Modeling the Lantern
I personally enjoyed modeling this Lantern, and it took me about 1 hour including to light and render,
As you can see I have used “Lathe” modifier to get the Glass bit and same for the bottom gold color part of it,
The glass is a gray color Bilnn shader. With a falloff map on the diffuse slot, flass off color light gray and white (which will give a transparent glass effect) with opacity set to 40. Glossiness 50.
